WE’RE HIRING!
Senior Plumbing & Heating Engineer
Employed or Self-Employed Opportunities
GOOD ENGINEERS ARE HARD TO FIND.
And when we find them, we look after them.
Let's face it. There are plenty of plumbing and heating companies out there.
So why join Westflow?
Because we believe being a good engineer is about more than fixing a boiler, fitting a cylinder or getting through the day's jobs.
It's about knowing your trade, taking pride in your work, solving problems properly and treating customers the way you'd want someone to treat your own family.
That's how we work at Westflow. And we're looking for someone who feels the same.
-
We're an established plumbing and heating business with a loyal customer base, a strong reputation and a team that genuinely cares about the work we do.
We're growing, too. Alongside our core plumbing and heating services, we're expanding into air conditioning and developing the next chapter of Westflow.
But one thing isn't changing.
We don't believe in shortcuts, bodge jobs or "that'll do". We believe in doing things properly.
-
You get to be an engineer. Not an engineer, receptionist and diary manager.
Meet Laura. She looks after our office, customer enquiries, bookings and scheduling, helping keep the days organised and customers informed.
That means less time chasing appointments and more time doing what you're good at.
You're part of a team, not just another van on the road.
We're a business where communication matters, people help each other and everyone has a part to play. We want good engineers who share their knowledge, have each other's backs and take pride in the Westflow name.
-
We know that good engineers don't become good overnight. Years of tricky breakdowns, difficult fault-finding and finding solutions when the obvious answer doesn't work all count for something.
We respect that experience, and we want people who bring it to the team.
There's room to grow.
With Westflow expanding into air conditioning, there are opportunities to get involved in an exciting new area of the business.
-
Someone who's been around the block a few times. Someone who knows their way around a boiler, isn't fazed by a challenging breakdown and doesn't need someone looking over their shoulder.
You'll need:
At least five years' experience as a Gas Safe registered engineer, with current relevant qualifications.
At least five years' hands-on experience in boiler servicing, breakdowns and fault-finding.
A valid G3 Unvented Hot Water Cylinder qualification.
Solid plumbing experience, including maintenance, repairs and diagnostics.
A full UK driving licence.
The confidence to work independently and the attitude to work as part of a team.
Good communication skills, common sense and genuine respect for customers and their homes.
We don't expect anyone to know everything. But we do expect you to care about the quality of your work and take responsibility for getting things right.
The right attitude matters just as much as what's in your toolbox.
Two ways to join Westflow
Option 1:
Come on board as an employed engineer.
We'll provide:
Company van and fuel card.
Westflow uniform.
iPad or tablet with access to our digital job management system.
Organised bookings and work allocation.
Dedicated office and administrative support.
Employment benefits and opportunities to develop your skills.
Salary and package will reflect your experience and qualifications.
Option 2:
Work with us as a self-employed engineer.
Already running your own show but looking for a steady flow of work and a company you can build a lasting relationship with?
We'll provide customer bookings, allocated jobs, Westflow uniform, access to our job management system and dedicated office support.
You'll need your own suitable van, tools, equipment, insurance and relevant qualifications.
Rates and working arrangements will be agreed together.
One last thing.
We're not looking for someone who simply turns up, fixes a problem and disappears.
We're looking for someone who cares whether the customer is happy, whether the job has been done properly and whether their colleagues can count on them.
Someone who takes pride in being the engineer people ask for again.
Because at Westflow, we don't just look after heating and plumbing. We look after homes. And we want engineers who are proud to be part of that.
Sound like your kind of place?
We'd love to have a conversation.
No complicated application process. Just get in touch, tell us a little about your experience and qualifications, and whether you're interested in an employed or self-employed role.
